Catching up...

I really wanted to take a minute, or in my case a couple weeks, to write and let everyone in on what's up with the Brandon family.  Our move from the house to this apartment has been very hard to get used to.  The noise level is nerve racking and space is limited. It is, however, very nice to be in New Braunfels.  We love it here.  Something about Texas hill country that is very relaxing and calming. Just can't wait to be in our new house. As of now it's looking like mid-January until the house is finished.  Lets just hope that's true. I've never been so eager to move! There's just a few things missing..my familia back in Illinois. That would make everything complete.  I'm working on getting them down here eventually.

The moment we arrived in New Braunfels I have been determined to meet new people.  I joined a Kinder Moms group and have had the opportunity of meeting some very nice ladies who are also stay at home mommies.  Back in Oklahoma, I always felt that I could bever get settled.  I had the mind set of not getting to comfortable since we would move one day. I was content with our dear friends on Austrian Pine Drive and the few good friends that we made in OKC. Now I am determined to be settled.  I do realize that I need to be content no matter where I am. I'm working on that.

And of course we have our darling little Liam. Lots going on with Liam these days.  Liam is now 15 months old. He such a happy, funny, lovable baby boy who keeps his momma very busy.  Liam goes to Mother's Day Out once a week to give me a few hours to myself.  As some of you know, Liam has had some difficulties with certain areas of his motor skills. He was currently enrolled into the Early Intervention Program for Texas. Liam sees a Early Intervention Specialist, a Speech Therapist, an occupational Therapist and a Physical Therapist.  These women are so nice and are quickly going to become part of our family as they will each be at our house at least two times a month. It's a lot but Liam is getting all the help he needs and that's fine with me. Other then that Liam is doing amazing and at his 15 month checkup weighed in at 22 lbs and is 32 inches long! Our baby boy is growing!

Liam is being fitted for special braces for his little ankles to help give him the support he needs.  I'll post a picture as soon a we get the braces.

Me and Liam will be flying home November 19 for 13 days.  I cannot wait to see my family and close friends.  It has been way to long since I've been home.

Insta Friday...on Sunday

Haven't posted in a while.  Been kinda busy.  I guess I can post some instagrams.

Flowers from the hubby.  Definately a plus!

Daddy was reading a story to Liam.  Liam kept giving him the funniest look.

Some quality daddy and son time.

Our darling animals.  Do you think they're spoiled?

Went to get coffee at Gruene Coffee Haus.  This sign was  funny.

Our Mother's Day Out spent getting barbeque at Salt Lick.  Yummo!

Insta-Friday

Oh my Oh my...seriously...what a week. I really didn't take that much insta pictures but I'll share the few that I did.

As you know, John came home for a few hours the other day.  So, I made some chocolate covered strawberry's.  They were pretty delicious.

After Liam goes night night I usually like to enjoy a glass a wine.  I just love the name of it.  It's reminding me to RELAX!

Liam very rarely falls asleep in the car.  This particular day we met daddy at the design center to pick some things out for the new house.  It really feels like a ginormous shopping spree.  Liam also skipped his afternoon nap that day making for one tired baby.  Liam fell asleep about 10 minutes prior to us getting home so in order for him to rest a bit momma sat in the car with him for half an hour.  He needed some sleep in order to make it until bedtime.  What a sweet angel..don't ya think?

Ah...yes..a Fat Tire.  You can't get this stuff in Oklahoma (silly Oklahoma).

That's just a few from the week.  That Fat Tire is actually happening as you read. :-)  If you could read the sign on the bike (Fat Tire Label) it says, "Joy Ride". You know where I would like a take a joy ride to...?  Sony! Yes, Sony!  I despise..no..loath Sony.  Through all of the restores and recoveries, I have somehow deleted all of Liam's photos and videos from when he was wee little.  I might have cried it out earlier.  My heart is a little broken.  I must admit.  Those are precious moments that we cannot get back.  Good thing I did have lots of those pics printed for his scrapbook. Still. I'm a little upset.  Thanks hubby and momma for listening to me cry and express my anger.  You guys are the best and I love you all!

A Little Bit of Cuteness

Ever since Liam started eating solids he's shown his love by humming yum yum every time he takes a bite.  Feeding Liam a meal can last quite a while sometimes with his hums in between every bite. The lady at the church nursery expressed this to me as well.  I thought I would get this yummy cuteness on video for your looking pleasure.

Wow..it's been a crazy past few days

So...Liam had a fever the other day of 102.3 from an ear infection and a sore throat.  Since that day our poor sweet baby boy has had the most horrible stuffy/runny nose. He can put up a pretty good fight now when it comes to the booger sucker.  How else am I going to get those boogers out?! Besides all of the above, Liam is teething like crazy.  His molars and the pointy teeth are all coming in at the same time.  Needless to say I have been mentally, physically drained the last few days.  I need my baby boy to be healthy and have all his teeth. Is that too much to ask?! It's actually pretty comical. I have to put Liam practically upside down to feed him his bottle. I guess his nose drains a little so he can breath out of his nose better.  Hey...whatever works.  Besides my arm, from the elbow down, going completely numb my baby gets what he needs.

Look at this face.  It just melts my heart {right before bed}

Daddy got to come home for a few hours today.  That made me and Liam and Ally dog very happy (Not sure about Scout). :-) We got to eat lunch today and interview a babysitter together. Can't wait for John to come back home in a couple days.  New Braunfels county fair is coming next week and I really really really want to take Liam in his red wagon. I need me some fair food.

Anyway, I'm not going to have my laptop starting in a couple days.  My fabulous Sony Vaio is going away to be fixed.  If I can give any advice.  NEVER BUY A SONY LAPTOP.  It's been nothing but a headache. Thank goodness it's under the manufactures warranty still.  Along with the computer, our cable box is acting crazy too...cable guy is coming out tomorrow to switch it out.  Must have HD channels! AND...the mainteance guy in our building will be fixing our hot water heater...it kinda smells like dirty diapers. HA!

Okay..enough of that noise.  I guess I just needed to get that off my chest. To end on a happier note.  Here's a picture of Liam and his daddy today.  A little blurry but it's still cute!

Insta-Friday

Insta-Friday...here's a little bit of our week.

A wagon ride around the lofts. Liam Loves his red wagon.

New books. I love this author and so does Liam.  Reading is Liam's favorite thing!

The morning of Liam's first day at Mother's Day Out.

Liam is getting settled in real fast at Mother's Day Out. He did very well.

We are still getting settled into our new temporary home.

Been a while since Liam played with this toy.  I forgot how much he loves it.  Keeps him entertained for quite a while.

Where momma went while Liam was away for a few hours.  This mall is amazing and only 10 miles away.  Thank you Lord. :-)

How was your week?

Thirty-Two

Happy Birthday to my wonderful, amazing hubby.  He's thirty two today = thirty two pictures for my love.
